One day we'll meet again on the other side. It'll be like the scene from Interstellar when Cooper meets his daughter. You will be the same age as I last saw you, I will be much older than when you last saw me. Will we have saved humanity by communicating through the fabric of space and time? Probably not. We will have witty one-liners ready for the moment we meet though.
We usually read, watch and hear stories of human triumph in sports, business, entertainment, etc. They are inspiring and always make us feel good.
These are the extraordinary stories that the world talks about. They are epic. However, there is beauty in the ordinary. There are so many fantastic comeback stories that regular people have. Most don’t talk about it, because they're shy or don’t think their stories are worth being told. I disagree.
There are life lessons, motivation, and wholesome moments in people’s journeys. One of my biggest joys is talking to people and hearing about their journeys. It gives me a lot of energy. I want to talk to more people and document their stories.
Every morning at 730 AM EST, I'd make myself a cup of coffee and call my dad in India. He'd be waiting for it with his evening cup of tea. We'd talk about anything and everything.
I didn't know it then but it was the best part of my day. Sometimes the call would last 5 minutes. Sometimes a full hour.
